Pony rods are used in the oil industry for their pumps. The purpose of a pony rod is to connect the surface components of an oil well pump to the downhole components. This is essential for removing oil from the well. This makes it work in a similar way to connecting rods in a car engine. This is because it is transferring the circular movement from the surface unit into a reciprocating movement for the pump.

Threaded Rod Ends

Because the pony rod is used to connect components at the surface and deep inside of the well it needs to be threaded to allow it to easily be connected and put into place.

Durability

Pony rods are used in extreme conditions, so it makes sense that they would be built using quality materials and standards. Pony rods are made to AISI 1530 MOD standards and are usually available in3/4, 7/8, and one-inch versions for strength. This is needed to make sure the rod is not going to deform or bend during use. These rods are 25 to 30 feet long, so they could easily get bent if quality control is lacking.

Pony rods are a vital component to oil drilling and are needed for oil extraction. They are made to high standards and are made of high-quality materials to keep them from bending under stress. Without pony rods, you would not have the gas to get to the pony party.

Constant motion drill to increase ball handling skills

Ball handling is one of the most vital skills that a player can have on the field, and this drills goal is to help players get a better feel and control for the football. The secret to this drill is having the ball constantly moving around and from hand to hand. The drill is simple and starts by having the player pass the ball around their head, torso, arms, knees, and even between their feet from one hand to another in constant motion.

In this drill the coaches responsibility is to observe the smoothness of the drill, and to also shout commands of body positions to move the ball around, and also to reverse the direction of the football. Changing the direction of the football ensures that they dont form a habit, and that they remained focused on the ball and controlling the movement.

We recommend that you end this drill by doing several football drops. This means that the player will drop the football and retrieve it again quickly. They also should rotate which hand they are using to pick it up so that you can increase ball handling with both.

Water on and off the field

Dehydration should never appear on the football field if both the players and coaches have good habits. Make sure that during the football practice players have their water bottles handy and are drinking often. Always remember that if you prevent, punish, or otherwise use water as a motivational tool it is very counterproductive, and there are many other motivating paths that you can take. Keeping everyone happy and hydrated will go a long way to a successful practice.

Conditioning: Five dot jump

Conditioning drills are effective in training and helping athletes be strong and reactive. For this reason, coaches like this drill for its focus on speed and accuracy. Setting up this drill is very simple, you will need five markers placed about a foot apart in an x formation with one of the dots being in the center surrounded by four other dots in a square formation.

The athlete starts at the edge of the mat placing their feet on two of the outer dots and proceeds to jump with feet together on the center spot and then out again quickly to the outer dots similar to a simple hop scotch motion. The second phase is having the player touch each of the dots with only one foot, and then switch to the other foot. The next step is jumping on all five dots with both feet together. The last phase is really returning to the original starting phase of jumping together and apart, however this time the athlete will change directions after they have jumped to the outer dots. Players will need to increase their speed and accuracy to be effective with this drill.

Ball security: The Gauntlet Drill

There is nothing more important for offense to learn great ball security. This is especially true for a running back or wide receiver as they will carry the ball more often than others on the field, but it is a good idea for all positions to practice a little ball security. One drill that has been used several times to improve ball security is called the gauntlet drill. This drill is set up with one ball carrier, there objective is to run through a group of opponents that try to knock the ball out. The opponents can line up in any scenario, the most common being two lines and the ball carrier must run through them. To be effective with this drill have the ball carrier run the drill holding the ball in several different positions.
